Typical uses are:
Monitoring streetlights – there are approximately 6m streetlights in the UK with a further 7m on motorways & dual carriageways. There is a large cost overhead in maintaining them.

Currently there are over 390 pieces of Legislation in place with which organisations may have to conform, such as Fire Precautions Act, Health and Safety at Work, The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare), Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations, Fire Precautions (Workplace), and the list goes on. Complying with the regulations for Emergency lights, again is a large cost overhead to any organisation and is a distraction from core business.

The slave units are very versatile units with almost unlimited applications. Wherever there is a switch or even a change of state, e.g. temperature, the unit can be used to monitor and even control. Typical applications under development are monitoring industrial fridges, air conditioning units and swimming pools.
